Longines Service Cost UK 2026: What You'll Actually Pay

Longines Conquest automatic with gold hour markers on the bench at SwissMade

TL;DR: A Longines full service at SwissMade starts from £245, with basic maintenance from £90. Longines’ own published UK prices run from £230 for a quartz full service to £460 for a mechanical chronograph. As an Official UK Longines Service Centre we use genuine Longines parts, give a 2-year warranty, and return your watch in 8 to 12 weeks.

Longines is one of the few brands that publishes its service prices, which makes this guide easier to write than our Rolex and Omega ones.

What the price list does not tell you is which service your watch needs, what the numbers mean for a 1990s Conquest rather than a new Spirit, or how an accredited independent compares. That is what this guide covers.

Longines service pricing at SwissMade

Every Longines repair starts with a free diagnosis from our Longines-certified watchmakers. You get a written estimate before any work begins.

ServicePrice fromWarrantyTurnaround
Longines full service£2452 years8 to 12 weeks
Longines basic maintenance£901 year3 to 5 weeks
Longines restorationEstimate2 yearsVaries

These are starting prices. A quartz Conquest or DolceVita with a three-hand movement sits at the bottom of the range. A Master Collection chronograph or moonphase has more parts to strip, clean and regulate, so it costs more. A vintage calibre that needs parts sourced is quoted after inspection.

We no longer offer a battery-only change on Longines. As an accredited centre, a quartz Longines goes through basic maintenance, which replaces the battery along with every seal and gasket and checks the movement on a quartz analyser. A new cell on old seals is how water gets into a watch.

What Longines charges direct

Longines publishes its UK service prices including VAT. As of October 2026 they are:

MovementPartial serviceFull service
Quartz, 2 or 3 hands with date£90£230
Quartz chronograph£110£330
Mechanical, 2 or 3 hands and small complications£90£350
Mechanical chronograph and larger complications£110£460
Polishing (with a partial service)£100Included
Vintage calibre, pre-1990EstimateEstimate

Parts are charged on top at both Longines and SwissMade. Longines gives a 24-month warranty on the work, and so do we.

The two “partial” and “full” tiers map closely onto our basic maintenance and full service. A Longines partial service replaces the battery and gaskets, cleans the case and bracelet and checks the rate and water resistance. A full service strips the movement, cleans and oils every component, replaces worn parts and refinishes the case.

SwissMade or Longines direct?

The work is the same. We hold Longines accreditation, use genuine Longines parts and follow Longines’ technical procedures. The differences are price, time and who you speak to.

On a quartz three-hand model the two routes cost about the same. On a mechanical watch, which is most of what we see, the saving at SwissMade is around £100 on a three-hand automatic and up to £200 on a chronograph, for the same accreditation.

If your Longines is still inside its five-year manufacturer warranty, a service at any accredited centre, including ours, keeps that warranty intact.

What a Longines full service includes

A full service is a complete overhaul, not a clean and a new battery.

Movement. The movement comes out of the case and is fully disassembled. Every component is ultrasonically cleaned and inspected under magnification. Worn parts are replaced with genuine Longines parts, the movement is reassembled with the correct lubricants and regulated to Longines’ tolerances.

Case and bracelet. The case and bracelet are cleaned and refinished to restore the original brushed and polished surfaces. All gaskets are replaced and the watch is pressure tested to its rated depth.

Final checks. Timing is measured in several positions over a number of days, and the power reserve is confirmed, before the watch comes back to you.

This is the procedure Longines specifies for its own service centres. The difference is who is doing it and how long you wait.

What changes the price

Movement type. Quartz three-hand models are the cheapest to service. Mechanical automatics such as the Conquest, HydroConquest, Master Collection and Spirit come next. Chronographs (Master Collection Chronograph, Spirit Chronograph, Conquest Chronograph) and complications such as the moonphase and GMT take the longest.

Age. A watch serviced on schedule usually comes in at the base price. A Longines that has not been opened in fifteen years tends to need more: hardened gaskets, a dried-out mainspring, a worn rotor bearing. These are picked up at diagnosis and quoted before we start.

Parts beyond the service kit. A scratched crystal, a damaged crown or a worn clasp are quoted separately.

Vintage calibres. Longines made its own movements until the 1980s, and we see plenty of 1950s and 1960s Conquests and Flagships. Parts for these are no longer in production, so a vintage service is priced after inspection. Our vintage restoration page explains how we approach them.

Keeping the cost down

Service on time. Longines suggests a full service roughly every four to five years for mechanical models. A £245 service on a healthy movement is far cheaper than a rebuild on one that has run dry.

Use basic maintenance between full services. For a quartz Longines, basic maintenance from £90 every two to three years keeps the seals fresh and the battery from leaking. For a mechanical one that is running well, it is a sensible check between overhauls.

Act on the warning signs. Running more than a few seconds a day fast or slow, a shorter power reserve, a stiff crown or any condensation under the crystal means the movement needs attention. Left alone, a small fault becomes a parts bill.

Post it. Our free insured return pack covers your watch up to £25,000 in transit, so there is no need to travel to Hatton Garden. Request a pack and send it from anywhere in the UK.

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to service a Longines watch in the UK?

At SwissMade a Longines full service starts from £245 and basic maintenance from £90, with genuine parts and a 2-year warranty. Longines’ own published UK prices are £230 to £460 for a full service depending on the movement. Chronographs and complications cost more than three-hand models at either.

How often should a Longines be serviced?

Every four to five years for a mechanical Longines, sooner if it is running outside its tolerances or has had a knock. A quartz Longines needs a battery and seal change every two to three years, which is what our basic maintenance covers.

Is SwissMade an official Longines service centre?

Yes. SwissMade is an Official UK Service Centre for Longines, with Longines-certified watchmakers and direct access to genuine parts and technical documentation. We have serviced Longines watches from our Hatton Garden workshop since 1985.

Does a SwissMade service affect my Longines warranty?

No. Servicing at an accredited Longines centre keeps the manufacturer warranty in place. Our own 2-year warranty on the work then runs from the day your watch is returned.

Can you service a vintage Longines?

Yes. We regularly service 1950s to 1980s Longines with in-house calibres. Because parts are no longer made, vintage work is quoted after a full diagnosis. We keep original dials and hands wherever possible.
